My name is John Olquin
Age: 54
I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have been raising pigeons
for 40+ years. My goal in the hobby is to help juniors whenever
and however I can, and to dedicate as much time as possible to
help our hobby move forward.
At this time, I raise Saddle Homers, West of England Tumblers,
Rare Colored Homers and I have one pair of Modenas.
I am married to a beautiful woman (Marie) with seven children and
three grand children. My hobbies are pigeons, old cars, fishing
and hunting. Although due to illness, the hunting and old cars are
a thing of the past. My pigeons are all I have left except my family
who are #ONE !
Pigeons as I said are my hobby. I am not in the sport for the
recognition of winning shows. I would still have and raise pigeon’s
whether I show or not. The thrill is not winning but the camaraderie,
friendships and sharing our experiences with one another.
Everyday is a blessing to me when I can wake up and Thank God
for another day to spend with my Family and Birds.
